Mercury Prize: Female talent leads nominations for first time
The nominees for 2020's Mercury Prize have been unveiled, with more female-fronted acts than male being nominated for the first time in the award's 28-year history. The Mercury Prize has celebrated British musicians since 1992, and recognises the 12 best albums of the last year. All 12 artists receive an album of the year trophy, as well as their profile being increased, with the overall winner receiving a winners trophy and a cash prize of £25,000.

Lewis Capaldi, Stormzy and The 1975 are among the big winners of this year's Q Awards. The annual ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London, with artists including Anna Calvi, Dizzee Rascal, Little Simz, Pale Waves and Madness also honoured. Following his record-breaking headline set at Glastonbury earlier this year, grime star Stormzy picked up the prize for best solo act, while The 1975 were named best act in the world today.

Mercury Prize 2019: Dave scoops award for debut album Psychodrama
Dave has been named as the winner of this year's Mercury Prize for his debut album Psychodrama.The Streatham rapper, who was joined on stage by his mum as he collected the award, beat off competition from the likes of The 1975, Foals and Anna Calvi at a ceremony at Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith.
