  • Britney Spears’s father has called for her to continue to pay his legal fees following the end of the conservatorship which allowed him to control her life for 14 years. The popstar, 40, was freed from the controversial conservatorship in November and granted financial and professional freedom. Lawyers acting for Jamie Spears on Monday said he had “stepped up” to protect his daughter during the conservatorship and had kept “opportunistic and wholly self-interested parties at bay”.
