The mystery, however, has now finally been solved: with the latest episode of the show's revival seeing Albert Rosenfield (Miguel Ferrer) track down the one person who could help them figure out why the Agent Cooper currently in their custody seems not like Agent Cooper at all.

Twin Peaks season 3 sees posthumous appearance of Catherine Coulson's beloved character The Log Lady
It was uncertain in what capacity Catherine Coulson, the actor behind classic Twin Peaks character Log Lady, would appear in the revival of David Lynch's seminal TV series following her passing from cancer in 2015. Fans received their answer during the two-hour premiere episode which debuted last night in the US and overnight in the UK. An ailing Coulson appeared in two key scenes which see her call Deputy Hawk (Michael Horse) with prophetic warnings about Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan).

Twin Peaks: What mysteries hide in the trailer?
After solving the mystery of Laura Palmer's untimely death, what else could creator David Lynch have in store for us? In fact, the most audible scene comes from Lynch himself, yelling "Albert" to the late Miguel Ferrer who plays Agent Albert Rosenfield. In the first scene of the trailer, we see an empty staircase, followed by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper - played by Kyle MacLachlan - facing a dark corridor.

Twin Peaks actor Miguel Ferrer dead at 61
Miguel Ferrer, famous for his roles in the hit TV shows Twin Peaks and NCIS, has died aged 61 at his Los Angeles home. The actor, who played FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield on David Lynch's cult series Twin Peaks, died of cancer on Thursday. Known for his stern, authoritarian look, Ferrer became one of Hollywood's favourite character actors in the late 1980s with his breakthrough role as the villainous Bob Morton in RoboCop.
