The Confessions of Frannie Langton, review: period drama passion with a modern twist
- Have you heard of ITVX? It’s the new name for ITV Hub, the broadcaster’s streaming service. I did ask someone at ITV if they had any concerns that the X in the title might lead people to think it was offering X-rated content, but it turns out that they conducted some consumer research which revealed that only people of a certain age make that association. So that put me firmly in my middle-aged place.

Wanderlust, final episode, review: 'Surprisingly neat, understated and even saccharine'
Like a long and exceptionally tricksy tantric sex session, those of us who make it through six hours of Wanderlust feel entitled to a happy ending, so to speak. Middle-aged professionals Joy and Alan Richards (Toni Collette and Steven Mackintosh), personal therapist and teacher respectively, are reunited, their disastrous experiment with an “open marriage” turned full circle. Until, that is, Alan falls in love with his little plaything, fellow teacher Clare (played with much spirit by Zawe Ash

Wanderlust, episode 2, review: This adaptation goes from pornified self-indulgence to asking ethical questions
Wanderlust is about the “open marriage” of Joy and Alan Richards (Toni Collette and Steven Mackintosh), a middle-aged couple. At one point, Joy characterises their evolving relationship as “the right to snack”, but also to enjoy a full roast at home, so to speak.
