Susannah Fielding: ‘Alan Partridge has a slightly softer heart than Piers Morgan’
The star, who totally inhabits the role of the long-suffering co-host in ‘This Time with Alan Partridge’, tells Ellie Harrison why Jennie Gresham is more than a withering eye-roller – and what she ‘admires’ about ‘Good Morning Britain’ presenter Susanna Reid

This Time with Alan Partridge's Susannah Fielding: 'I think I'd do a great job on Good Morning Britain'
Susannah Fielding knows a thing or two about grinning and bearing it. As Jennie Gresham, the co-host of a spoof One Show-style magazine programme on This Time with Alan Partridge, she has to grin and bear it through all manner of claptrap that comes out of the mouth of her infamous East Anglian co-presenter. As a young actress, she has had to grin and bear a misogynistic industry. She even grins and politely bears my inevitable question about her two‑year relationship with the actor Tom Hiddlest

Sticks and Stones, episode 1 review: Mike Bartlett's bullying drama will make you feel queasy
Is Mike Bartlett a bit of bully? He does love to inflict pain on his characters. Nowhere was this tendency more overt than in Bull, a sweaty play about workplace bullying. To thump home the point, the action took place in a boxing ring with the audience watching from the other side of the ropes.

This Time with Alan Partridge series 2: Will the BBC comedy show return?
This Time with Alan Partridge concluded its acclaimed first series on BBC1 last night – but will it return for a second? The comedy show, co-written by brothers Neil and Rob Gibbons, is regarded to be up there with the best of Steve Coogan’s Partridge, including 1990s series Knowing Me, Knowing You, with many commending the supporting role from Susannah Fielding as Partridge’s co-host Jennie Gresham. Episode six (read our review here) ended with uncertainty thrown upon Partridge’s position on
