The show won best comedy series ensemble, best actress in a comedy series for Rachel Brosnahan, and best actor in a comedy series for Tony Shalhoub, whose win was a surprise in a category that included Bill Hader (Barry) and Michael Douglas (The Kominsky Method). Ceremony host Megan Mullally previously opened the SAG Awards by introducing them as “the greatest honour an actor can receive this weekend” before the ceremony opened with a trio of wins for the Amazon series.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" won the Tony for best play on Sunday while "The Band's Visit" swept the musical categories with 10 wins, including the top award best musical at Broadway's annual honours for the best in theatre. Glenda Jackson and Andrew Garfield took home acting prizes and rocker Bruce Springsteen received a special Tony, while a revival of the AIDS drama "Angels in America" was named best play revival and "Once On This Island" won best musical revival.
