BAFTA-Winning Actor Adam Deacon Arrested By Police

UPDATE: Actor Adam Deacon has been arrested by police after failing to appear in court on Monday to face charges of harassment, reports the Daily Mirror.

The star is accused of posting abusive and threatening messages about his ‘Kidulthood’ co-star Noel Clarke on social media last year.

ORIGINAL STORY: A warrant has been issued by police for the arrest of Adam Deacon after the actor failed to appear in court this morning.

The BAFTA-winning star was due to appear at Hammersmith magistrates court in London to face charges of harassment against his ‘Kidulthood’ and ‘Adulthood’ co-star Noel Clarke.

Despite being on the run from the law the film-maker continued posting on Twitter throughout today, including links to stories about the arrest warrant.

Deacon and Clarke have had a public beef for many years now, but it escalated late last year when Deacon took to Twitter to accuse Clarke of “psychopathic bullying”.

Deacon beat off competition from Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth and Eddie Redmayne to win the public voted BAFTA Rising Star award in 2012.
