First Look At The Real-Life Elsa From Frozen

It’s a dream come true for legions of ‘Frozen’ fans – Princess Elsa has made the move from fantasy to reality.

Actress Georgina Haig has been snapped on the set of ABC series ‘Once Upon A Time’, in which the 28-year-old Aussie will play the Queen of Arendelle.

Resplendent in the same blue, glittery robe as worn in the animated movie, Haig also sports the cursed/blessed Queen’s trademark silver-blonde hair, worn in a plait.

She’ll appear in a storyline for the live action fairytale drama series, created by ‘Lost’ writers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, when it returns for its fourth season later this year.

Haig has previously starred in sci-fi drama ‘Fringe’, and played Paula Yates in the Australian-produced TV mini-series ‘Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS’.

She can also currently be seen in the crime drama ‘Reckless’ on CBS.

Meanwhile, newcomer Elizabeth Lail will play Elsa’s younger sister Anna – originally voiced by Kristen Bell in the film – and Scott Michael Foster, from the series ‘Greek’, will play Kristoff.

'Lost's Elizabeth Mitchell is also among the cast, possibly playing the antagonist character.

Horowitz has already stressed that the ‘Frozen’ plot-line in the show won’t retread anything from the movie.

Giving away absolutely nothing, he said: “But what we can say is we’re very aware of what we think makes this character from Frozen so special and we want to honor that and make sure that what we do is in the universe of everyone fell in love with this past year.”

'Frozen', which was inspired by Hans Christian Anderson's 1844 tale 'The Snow Queen' has become the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, scoring Disney over £700 million at the box office.

In the movie, Elsa is voiced by Idina Menzel, the Broadway star who sang the award-trawling ‘Let It Go’ and was famously - and bafflingly - misnamed Adele Dazeem by John Travolta at the Oscars.

'Once Upon A Time' returns on September 28.
