Those aren’t the only injuries Chan’s sustained in the line of cinematic duty. He has broken his pelvis and his sternum as well as various smaller bones.

In ‘Chinese Zodiac’, Jackie plays JC (geddit?), an international treasure hunter who scours the world for some ancient and priceless artifacts. Along the way, there’s plenty of time for innovative fights and even a parachute jump over a volcano (which ends without a parachute, we won’t say how).

For his multiple roles behind-the-scenes on the film (he also wrote the story and directed it), he now holds the Guinness World Record for Most Credits On One Movie, taking over from Robert Rodriguez.

‘Chinese Zodiac’ is out now on DVD and Blu-ray from Universal Pictures.
