Jackie Chan: “I’ll Only Do Expendables 4 If I Get A Bigger Part”

Jackie Chan was in town this week to talk about his new movie ‘Chinese Zodiac’ and we couldn’t help but turn talk towards his long-debated appearance in the ‘Expendables’ franchise.

The star expressed interest in being part of Sly’s gang, but has some stipulations. You can watch his response above.

Chan is one of the big names (of the right vintage) who has not appeared in the trilogy so far, alongside Steven Seagal, who has spoken about not liking some of the personnel involved.

Chan doesn’t go that far, but suggests his presence will rest on the size of the role Stallone writes for him.

“I don’t want to come out for five minutes, one fighting scene and gone,” he says.

He suggests instead that while not being the bad guy, he could fight the Expendables at the end and then help them do something.

“They’re all good fighters,” he admits. “But I believe I can run faster than [all of them].”

Chan wrote, directed and stars in ‘Chinese Zodiac’, which sees him cross the world in pursuit of some priceless artifacts.

It is out now on DVD and Blu-ray from Universal Pictures.
