Jurassic World Trailer: New Teaser Shows Glimpse Inside The Dinosaur Park

In the teasiest of teasers – it’s just 20 seconds long, half of which is on-screen titles – a snapshot of the new ‘Jurassic World’ has been revealed.

As a pre-cursor to the first full trailer, which is due on Thanksgiving (27 November, or early hours on Friday in the UK), the doors have opened up.

Rather than driving in ranger vehicles, a la 1993, it appears there’s now a futuristic monorail type deal taking you through those iconic, torch-lit gates.

There’s a safari bus taking visitors around a dinosaur herd - ‘they do move in herds!’ - and some futuristic-looking hamster ball from inside which you can witness the majesty of John Hammond’s legacy.

There’s also the first glimpse of Bryce Dallas Howard in the JW control room, and a grave-looking Chris Pratt in a pretty serious leather waistcoat.

And that’s your lot until Thursday. Or early Friday morning if you live in the UK.

Last week, a website emerged for the ‘Jurassic World’ parent company, Masrani Global Corp, which gave a few hints about where director Colin Trevorrow will be taking the story.

CEO Simon Misrani – ‘Life of Pi’ star Irrfan Khan – is revealed, showing off the success of the fully-operational park, complete with golf courses, restaurants and hotels.

There was also a shot of dino-science guy Dr. Wu (BD Wong) and some sturdy chunks of amber, which may well be behind the creation of a new species of dinosaur that could provide the jeopardy in this ‘taken for granted’ attraction.

Speaking about the plot earlier this year, Trevorrow said: “This film picks up twenty-two years after ‘Jurassic Park’. When Derek [Connolly, the movie’s co-writer] and I sat down to find the movie, we looked at the past two decades and talked about what we’ve seen. Two things came to the surface.

image

“One was that money has been the gasoline in the engine of our biggest mistakes. If there are billions to be made, no one can resist them, even if they know things could end horribly.

“The other was that our relationship with technology has become so woven into our daily lives, we’ve become numb to the scientific miracles around us. We take so much for granted.”

And therein lies the window for calamity. We can’t flipping wait.

'Jurassic World' hits cinemas on June 12, 2015.
