Marvel’s New Daredevil Revealed

Although Charlie Cox has been confirmed as Marvel’s Daredevil for some time, it looks as though we finally get our first glimpse of him as Matt Murdock… and even in his awesome first costume as the Man Without Fear.

Appearing in some explosive new footage at the New York Comic Con, Marvel fans were treated to a first glimpse of the new Netflix series. Bringing Daredevil to the screen for the first time since Ben Affleck’s rather dismal movie, Charlie Cox has taken to his new costume with ease… and appears in some awesome new images courtesy of Marvel Studios.

Inspired by Frank Miller’s seminal graphic novel, Charlie Cox suits up in the unmistakable ‘Man Without Fear’ costume and this clearly hints towards a rather epic origin story, to be revealed throughout the Netflix show.

Whether or not the story of the show will take cues from Miller’s work remains to be seen… but this is definitely promising. And after Affleck’s rather rubbish movie, anything has to be better than that.

Also featuring a new image of Charlie in costume as Matt Murdock, it looks as though the blind lawyer is struggling to keep his dual identities separate – sporting a black eye beneath his signature red shades.

Of course, I can’t help thinking that Miller’s ‘Man Without Fear’ will be a big part of the Netflix origin story. After all, the graphic novel is often considered to be one of the greatest comic book origin stories of all time.

But while details remain scarce about the upcoming show, it looks as though we’ll have to wait and see. Either way, I’m looking forward to seeing Charlie Cox in action as Daredevil.
