Nolan Brothers Not Involved With Future Batman Films

‘The Dark Knight’ co-writer Jonathan Nolan has confirmed that neither him nor his director brother Christopher are involved in Warner Bros’ extensive DC superhero movie series.

Both played a part in establishing the gritty tone of the films with their ‘Dark Knight’ trilogy, and Christopher wrote a story treatment for 2013’s ‘Man of Steel’, but that’s the extent of their involvement. For now at least.

Warner Bros recently announced a huge slate of superhero movies through until at least 2020, highlighted by two ‘Justice League’ movies to be directed by Snyder , a solo film for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and solo features for Aquaman, The Flash and Green Lantern.

The series will truly kick off in 2016 with the release of ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’, starring Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight and Henry Cavil as the Man of Steel.  That film will be released on 25 March 2016.
