Oscar Isaac Talks Apocalypse’s Powers In X-Men: Apocalypse

Oscar Isaac has been talking about his titular role in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, which will see the actor play the terrifying villain in the hugely anticipated blockbuster.

In fact the ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ actor’s comments suggest that the eighth instalment to the ‘X-Men’ franchise won’t stray too far away from the comics.

Isaac made these comments to ComingSoon.net while promoting his turn in the heavily lauded ‘A Most Violent Year’ opposite Jessica Chastain.

After being asked about his costume in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, Isaac explained, “It hasn’t been figured out yet. But one of his major powers is being able to change all the molecules in his body. So I’ll be changing all the molecules in my body.”

And the aforementioned mutant ability has Isaac pretty damn excited too, as he added that he’s rather looking forward to appearing in the film. “It’s gonna be a lot of fun,” he declared.

The news that the super-villain Apocalypse will be able to alter his molecules is hardly a revelation. The character uses this ability to alter his physical form when and where he desires, thus he is able to keep away from his adversaries with ease.

Oscar Isaac’s casting as Apocalypse helped to breathe new life into ’X-Men: Apocalypse’. The Guatemalan actor previously appeared in ‘Drive’ as well as the Coen Brother’s ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’, while his reputation is set to be further enhanced after he appears in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ in December too.

Isaac has the skill, range and presence to more than live up to his burgeoning notoriety, and he’ll easily be at home alongside the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy and Nicholas Hoult in ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’.

We’ll see just how good he is when ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ is released in May 2016.
