Emails sent in early October between Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal and Gosling’s talent manager Ilene Feldman reveal Pascal and the star of ‘The Notebook’ met and hit it off, reveals The Daily Beast.

"Ryan absolutely loved you," wrote Feldman. "Said it was like speed dating because he was late after hitting every wrong gate on the lot. Not it should turn to marriage. He really wants to do something with you.”

Pascal’s reply says: “I wanted to talk to him about ‘Sinister [Six]’ and ‘Jobs’. You tell me what he is interested in.”

Pascal forwarded Feldman’s original email to Michael De Luca, co-president of production for Columbia Pictures, who replied that Gosling has shown interest in ‘Ghostbusters’.

The subsequent email from Pascal to Hannah Minghella, another co-president at Columbia, revealed that there’s a male part in the movie that fits the bill, and that Feig wants Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone to star.

'Sinister Six' is one of the proposed 'Spider-Man' spin-offs that hit trouble after its announcement. The superhero series is now in a state of flux with discussions about how to handle the future of it set for January.

'Jobs' meanwhile is another troubled project. Christian Bale was set to play the lead part but dropped out, leaving director Danny Boyle without a star and nobody has yet stepped up.
