“Whose Side Are You On?” asks Captain America: Civil War Art, Shared By Jeremy Renner

Marvel fans have just under 11 months left to ponder which side they’ll take when the Avengers turn against one another in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’

Evidently it isn’t just the fans who are tackling that poser, but also the cast and crew of the Russo Brothers-directed film, as Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner has shared a special greeting card he received from the studio on the Atlanta, Georgia set.

Posting a photo on Twitter, Renner asked followers, “What do you say?  What side are you on?  #avengers #civilwar #captainamerica #ironman #marvel “

‘Captain America: Civil War’ will be Renner’s fourth appearance as Marvel’s master bowman, following on from the two ‘Avengers’ movies and his brief cameo in ‘Thor.’

Despite being officially the third solo movie for Chris Evans’ Cap, the bulk of the Avengers ensemble (no pun intended) will also return, including Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Paul Bettany’s Vision, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, Don Cheadle’s War Machine, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch - and, as will of course be evident from the pictures above, Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man.

In a loose adaptation of Marvel’s ‘Civil War’ comic book storyline, the film will see the Avengers split into two factions - one lead by Cap, the other by Iron Man - over extenuating circumstances, political pressure and ideological differences.

If film fans everywhere went wild at seeing Hulkbuster Iron Man fight the Hulk in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ one can only imagine how the reaction will be to the Avengers doing battle with one another.

And things are sure to only get more epic with the return of Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Emily VanCamp as Agent 13 and Frank Grillo as Crossbones, plus the addition of Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, the introduction of Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther - and an as-yet unannounced young actor as the all-new MCU Spider-Man.

Find out which side you’re on when ‘Captain America: Civil War’ hits UK cinemas on 29 April 2016.
