Avengers: Infinity War Writers Revealed

It looks as though ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ may have found its writers… as Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely reportedly sign up.

According to Badass Digest, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ has found its writers… and they’re turning to ‘The Winter Soldier’ scribes, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

“Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will write Avengers: Infinity War I and II, keeping them teamed up with their Captain America: Civil War and Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Joe and Anthony Russo.”

Of course, the writing duo are perhaps best known for last year’s smash hit, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’. And with such a huge success under their belts, it seems only natural that they might take over writing duties for the MCU’s flagship series.

“You were wondering who would handle the MCU once Joss Whedon was gone? Why, it’s the guys who knocked it out of the park with Winter Soldier. I had reported that they were in talks before; it’s a done deal now.”

It certainly makes a lot of sense… and to be honest, ‘Infinity War’ couldn’t be in better hands.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have been instrumental to building the Marvel Cinematic Universe – having written ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ and working on ‘Thor: The Dark World’. They even created ‘Agent Carter’ for ABC… and it’s obvious that they’re real Marvel fans.

But what does this mean for the immediate future?

Well, it’s likely that ‘Captain America: Civil War’ will begin to shift the tide towards what they have planned in ‘Infinity War’ – after all, the same creative team will be behind all three movies, so it’s not a stretch to see them building towards something.

Quite how that plays out on the big screen remains to be seen. But if Markus and McFeely really have signed on for ‘Infinity War’, it might well prove to be a killer combination.

‘Avengers: Infinity War Part 1’ heads to cinemas on 27 April 2018.
