Jack Nicholson Quits Womanising With Fears He'll 'Die Alone'

Legendary lothario Jack Nicholson says he’s given up hitting on women because “it just doesn’t feel right at my age” with a source saying he’s afraid of dying alone.

The 77-year-old star revealed his fears in a candid interview with American magazine Closer via the Telegraph. ”I would love that one last romance but I’m not very realistic about it happening. What I can’t deny is my yearning,” he said.

"I’m definitely still wild at heart, but I’ve struck biogravity."

He adds: ”No woman has ever recognised what I say as being legitimate – they don’t trust me.

"They think of my reputation – Jack the Jumper – so I’m damned by what women think."

Nicholson’s only marriage to Sandra Knight proved to be short-lived with the couple divorcing in 1968 after 6 years together. He’s since dated many famous actresses and models including ‘The Addams Family’ star Anjelica Huston.

The pair had a tempestuous relationship for decades before they finally split for good in 1990, an event which Nicholson admits was ”toughest period of my life”.

The actor, who hasn’t appeared in a film since 2010 and rarely appears at social events, says meeting women is pretty much impossible nowadays.

"I can’t hit on women in public anymore. I didn’t decide this; it just doesn’t feel right at my age.

"I have had everything a man could ask for but no one could say I’m successful with affairs of the heart.

"I don’t think relationships are fixed things. People are necessarily complex and confused beings. We don’t always do the right thing, say the right thing and behave the way we always want to behave."

A source told Closer Nicholson is “afraid of dying alone in that house”, referring to the mansion the star lives in on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles.

They add that his family have been encouraging him to downsize to a more manageable home in Beverly Hills without any luck.

Nicholson famously tried it on with Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars in 2013, watch the cringeworthy video below.
