TV Host Makes Awkward Gaffe During Interview With Bill Hader And Kristen Wiig

Note to wannabe journalists – always watch the film before interviewing the people who appear in it.

Denver presenter Chris Parente learned that the hard way while interviewing actors Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig, who star in indie drama ‘The Skeleton Twins’.

During a live two-way via satellite on his show, he asked Wiig about her nude scene in the film – causing the pair to rip him a new one (jokily) when they revealed he was talking about the wrong movie and clearly hadn’t seen the pic they were there to promote.

Wiig appears nude in ‘Welcome To Me’, not ‘The Skeleton Twins’, which is about a  pair of suicidal siblings who reconnect after a long estrangement.

But once Parente had made the gaff, the former ‘Saturday Night Live’-ers wouldn’t let him forget it and ended up unable to talk through tears of laughter.

To his credit, the host leant into his error and asked his interviewees whether there were Muppets in the new film.

“This movie takes place on Mars,” said Hader through the giggles.

Luckily for the hapless interrogator, the comedy duo are so sweet that it never felt like they were angry at his faux pas, instead they were rather tickled by the whole thing.

“Is his face red?” asked Hader, towards the end of the encounter.
