Lana Del Rey ‘Rape’ Video: Marilyn Manson Distances Himself From Eli Roth Short Film

There’s a simmering furore about to boil over surrounding a short film posted on YouTube featuring director Eli Roth, singer Lana Del Rey and rocker Marilyn Manson.

The short - posted by a company called Sturmgruppe, a digital art company that has worked with Manson before - is a strange and disturbing two-minutes, during which Roth, appearing in front of the camera, acts out a scene in which he violently assaults and rapes Del Rey.

Though it opens with a shot of Marilyn Manson sitting at a table, his reps have no gone on record to deny any involvement with the film.

A statement from the singer read: “Manson did not direct this, shoot it, nor was it for a Marilyn Manson video or outtake footage made by him or to be used by him with his music. It must be a fan video splicing up old Manson video footage with someone else’s Lana Del Rey footage.”

This would be plausible, except for that fact that Eli Roth has previously talked about a video he had shot for Manson that has been kept under lock and key.

The film appears to feature outtakes from Manson’s video for the track No Reflection - though that clip was directed by Lukas Ettlin.

Speaking to Larry King just over a year ago, Roth said: “I shot a video with Marilyn Manson and Lana Del Rey. Marilyn Manson is the best, he’s one of my favourite people.

“The footage is so sick, it’s been locked in a vault for over a year.

“But Manson is a friend, actually he came to my Passover Seder.”

The scene shows Del Rey, wearing a Texas Chainsaw Massacre t-shirt, being forced onto a bed by Roth before being assaulted.

Later, among the other dream-like scenes is that of a sniper dressed in leather taking aim at people from a rooftop.

So far Roth has not spoken as to whether these were the scenes he claimed to have shot with Manson.

But Roth has long dined out on his reputation for shocking audiences.

First making a splash with low-budget shocker ‘Cabin Fever’, he went on to make the ‘Hostel’ movies, which were widely denounced as ‘torture porn’.

Recently, the poster for the horror movie ‘Clown’, which Roth helped produce, was banned in Italy. You can check out the dark Italian trailer for the movie below.
