Meet The Woman ADDICTED To Disney Collectibles

An exasperated British man identified only as Graham has appeared on an American reality TV show in a bid to curb his wife’s obsessive Disney hoarding. He told the show enough was enough, asking them to help him out of his own personal Disney hell.

“When it’s shoved down your throat every day, it gets a bit tiring,” he tells the show.

The couple’s incredible Disney-festooned house appeared on a recent episode of Discovery Life’s ‘Hoarding: Behind Closed Doors’, which sees real life people seeking help to clear up the clutter in their homes.

Claire’s huge collection consisting of thousands of toys, figurines, collectible plates, pin badges appears to cover every inch of available space in the couple’s house, and there’s even Disney-themed linen on the bed which Graham admits, he’s doesn’t really like.

“Sleeping in a ‘Little Mermaid’ bed doesn’t fill me with a great deal of joy.”

His wife (known to her friends as “Disney Claire”, I wonder why?) has obsessively collected Disney memorabilia for years now and admits her collection has got a little bit out of hand recently thanks to a recent fad for collecting Vinylmation figures. She says she now has 2092 of the distinctive Mickey Mouse-shaped dolls dotted around the house.

“I generally think people think I’m a little bit nuts,” confesses Claire.

Claire’s collection began to encroach on Graham’s personal office, so he decided to call in the show to help, saying: “If I don’t get my space back then there will be a pile of collectibles on the landing and a lock on my door.”

Thanks to a little helps from the show’s decluttering experts, known as “The Divas”, the couple successfully managed to pare down Claire’s insane collection by giving away boxfuls of Disney merch to charity.

Finally, the spare room was cleared up and the clutter removed from the study to give Graham the free space he desired.

If only Mary Poppins had been on hand, she’d have had it spit-spot in no time.
