Fantastic Four Reboot Reshoots & Trailer Date Confirmed

Producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed that 20th Century Fox’s ‘The Fantastic Four’ will undergo reshoots and that the first trailer is arriving next month.

Recent rumours have suggested a number of problems for the project, leading to Kinberg getting in touch with Latino Review and clearing up a few things.

"To confirm - ‘Fantastic Four’ will be doing 3-4 days of additional photography with director Josh Trank and some key cast members," he said.

"We are very excited about the film and can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been up to. And you will be able to do that very soon as I can confirm here that the teaser will be on Kingsman in theaters 13 February."

Trank’s reboot of the Marvel property has been in desperate need of good news and it’s yet to find any. Most recently reports surfaced about Trank’s alleged poor treatment of the film’s crew, also saying that he trashed one of the film’s sets.

Then Bleeding Cool cited a “senior executive” source who described the film as “a mess”. The report adds that “multiple sources are telling me about major disquiet at Fox regarding the state of the movie.”

Kinberg’s assertions alleviate some concerns and give fans something to look forward to seeing regardless of what state they believe the film is really in.

At the very least, there will be some very interesting stories to come out of this film in the future.

'The Fantastic Four' stars Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan and Jamie Bell as its heroes with Toby Kebbell as villain Doctor Doom. The film is set for release on 6 August.
