Ryan Reynolds Provides First Glimpse Of Deadpool Costume

As the long-awaited ‘Deadpool’ movie at last gears up to go before cameras, leading man Ryan Reynolds has shared a sneak peek at the costume with followers on Twitter:

Sepia tone disguises the fact the mask is ballerina pink. It’s early. 365 sleeps early. #deadpool #prototypes pic.twitter.com/PekFa2KS7S

As might be gathered, Reynolds posted the image a year to the day prior to ‘Deadpool’s release on 12 February 2016. Presumably the use of hashtag ‘prototypes’ would suggest that this isn’t necessarily the final product, but it certainly looks close to the costume known and loved by fans of the Merc with a Mouth everywhere.

The picture arguably does a better job showing off Reynolds’ scarily veiny arm, but it’s fair to assume he’s once again been hitting the gym hard in preparation for the movie.

Reynolds first portrayed Deadpool in the much-maligned ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine,’ yet despite that film’s largely negative reception the actor remained committed to reprising the role, though for several years its prospects of getting a green light seemed dim at best.

Reynolds told Yahoo! recently that the film’s change of fortunes were “100 percent” down to the test footage leaked online last year, to a near-ecstatic reaction from fans.

It will be his forth notable comic book movie appearance, following his roles as Hannibal King in ‘Blade: Trinity’ and the title role in ‘Green Lantern.’
