Shannon Marsden, 22, and Stephen Boden, 30, were found guilty in April of the murder of Finley Boden in Derbyshire. At today's sentencing, Mrs Justice Tipples told Marsden she would serve a minimum of 27 years behind bars, while Boden was told he would serve at least 29 years in jail.

Claudia Winkleman described the coronation as "Tory Christmas" during an appearance on BBC Radio 2. The presenter was speaking to Jack Whitehall, who revealed that his mother had been camping out at the Mall in the hopes of getting a glimpse of the King and Queen during the coronation procession. "She’s prepared for it, she had her tupperware with sandwiches, she had a she-wee...the Coronation is like Tory Glastonbury, it’s a huge event," the comedian said.

Nurses could continue to hold strikes "up until Christmas" if the current dispute is not resolved, the leader of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has told Sky News. Pat Cullen, the head of the RCN union, was speaking as her members picket today - although the period of action is truncated after judges ruled the mandate to withdraw labour expired tonight. "It is for the secretary of state to come back around the table and put a better offer on the table," Ms Cullen told Sky News.
